Melissa peered from behind a corner, a serious look on her face. In front of the cell where Drew and the others were being held were two tough looking men, one with a gun tucked in the back of his pants.
“Shit, Lolita’s goons are in front of the door!” Melissa swore softly.
“Were they there yesterday?” Sandi asked, peeking from behind Melissa.
“Must’ve been added today due to the shootings the other night.” Sam theorized, leaning against the opposite wall.
“So, who wants to knock first?” Mike asked, looking down at Sam.
“Leave that to us…” One of the three cops who had exited from Lennie’s car - a balding brunet with blue eyes, stated, stepping up with his partner, a short haired sandy blonde with almond brown eyes.
“Whatever you say…” Melissa shrugged, moving to let the two pass.
“Is this a good idea?” Sandi whispered.
“Just watch ‘em go, Sandi…” Melissa whispered back, smiling as the four watched the two officers walk up to the two guards.
In the span of several seconds, both officers took down the guards with well placed blows to their enemies. The guards were then handcuffed and thrown against the opposite wall.
“Stay there!” The male officer commanded. The female then pulled out a walkie-talkie from her jacket.
“Benson to Curtis and Anderson, we’ve secured the cell area. Proceed with phase two.” The woman, Det. Benson, reported into the object. Realizing the safety now, Mike, Sandi, Melissa, and Sam made their way down the hall, Melissa bouncing with each step.
“That was TOTALLY awesome!!” Melissa gushed, still bobbing up and down on her heals.
“You do this often?” Sandi asked Det. Benson, curiously.
“Sometimes, but it’s usually Stabler over there who gets involved in the fighting.” Benson answered. Stabler shot an amused grin at his partner while Sam made it over to the cell door and peered through the window.
“Guys? Guys?!” Sam called.
Inside the room, Greg sat up from the cot he was resting on in surprise.
“Sammie?” Greg questioned cautiously.
“It’s me. And Melissa. We’re getting you guys’ outta here!” Sam smiled for the first time that day, feeling a small adrenaline rush of excitement coursing through her body. They were actually doing it. They were actually getting the guys out of their!

“I still think we shouldn’t be here…” Alicia whispered nervously, looking around the halls on the second floor of the building. She was paired up with Paul, Jeff, and Julie and all four of them were trying to find the room where Lolita was operating on Ryan and Colin with help from Det. Anderson. Tony, Josie, and Will were searching the first floor with Det. Curtis, Robert and Janet.
Unfortunately, the detective had a fight with one of Lolita’s men and urged the small group to go ahead, so they were left alone without any weapons to defend themselves.
“I hope Tony and Josie are ok. This whole place is giving me the creeps.” Paul muttered, closing the door of an empty room softly.
“You ain’t the only one, Paul. I still think we shouldn’t have left Lissy’s dad alone. What if something else goes wrong?” Julie nodded in agreement.
“Guys! Up ahead!” Jeff exclaimed softly, gesturing his three ‘teammates’ over and pointed behind the corner of the hall.
In front of a door was a tired looking guard, who was reading a sports magazine. He let out a yawn before going back to reading.
“That has to be it!” Paul stated softly.
“We better go back and get help from Lissy’s pop…” Julie began.
“Wait!” Jeff halted her as she began to turn to leave.
“What?” Julie asked. Jeff grinned manically.
“I’ve got an idea…” Jeff began.
“Why don’t I like the sound of that?” Alicia said softly and doubtfully.

“Anything over there?!” Robert asked from down a hall.
“Not a bloody thing!” Josie stated, closing a door with Janet at her side.
“Damn it, where they hell could they be?” Robert cursed, walking up to them.
“Wish I knew.” Will sighed, scanning an empty room.
“At least we got Drew, Greg, Wayne, Brad, and Chip free.” Janet reminded.
“But Ryan and Colin are still missing.” Josie told Janet.
“Come on, you guys. We got to keep moving.” Det. Curtis, who was a young Hispanic male, told the small group as he walked up to them from another empty room.
“Right…” Will shrugged, looking around. Then Josie asked a question that stopped everyone in their tracks.
“Where Tony?”

“Excuse me, sir, but can you give me a hand?” Paul asked, walking up to the guard, doing his best to making his English accent stand out distinctly. The male guard stared at Paul in confusion, which didn’t seem to be an impossible feat.
“Whaddyo want, ya limey?” the guard asked, clearly not happy to see Paul. Paul flinched slightly, but forced himself to keep his cool.
“Hello, I’m John Sessions, a professor here and, ah, I’m rather new around these parts. I was wonderin’ if maybe you can help me and me assistant out.” Paul asked, pretending to be very confused and new around the building. It wasn’t completely hard; he didn’t have a clue where he was in the building, nor did Jeff, Julie or Alicia. He then glanced over and gestured for Alicia to appear from behind the corner.
Alicia sauntered over, flipping her hair back with a smile once she stood next to Paul. The guard immediately began to drool over Alicia. Her white blouse was open to reveal her white tank top and ample breasts.
“I hope you can help us, luv, because we’re sooo terribly lost and new to this place. Can you help us?” Alicia asked seductively, leaning forward to show off more of her cleavage, and pouting to top it off. The guard began to sweat profusely and pulled at his collar nervously.
“Excuse me, what the bloody hell is that?” Paul asked, pointing behind the man.
“Wha?” The guard spun around in confusion.
That was the signal. Jeff sprinted forward and tackled the guard, knocking him to the floor and knocking the guard out in the process. Julie hurried over, holding some duck tape she had brought in her purse and proceeded to tie the guy up with it.
“John Sessions?” Julie asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It was the first thing I could think of as an alias.” Paul shrugged.
“I hate to ask this, but isn’t this illegal?” Alicia asked, helping Julie tie up the guard with the tape.
“Compared to what Lolita’s doing right now to Ryan and Colin, this is not much of a problem.” Paul replied, glancing through the small window in the door. Jeff got up off the floor and walked over to Paul.
“They in there?” Jeff asked, glimpsing through the window.
“Gotta be.” Paul replied.
“Should- shouldn’t we get help?” Julie asked, standing up worriedly.
“No time for that. She’s got ‘em strapped on some weird looking tables.” Paul remarked, looking through the window again.
“Then we’re going in?” Jeff asked, feeling pumped, ready to go in and fight.
“Not without a plan.” Paul shook his head.
“Oh no, are we gonna do that foreign exchange teacher bit again?” Alicia asked, blushing a bit. Paul nodded. Alicia proceeded to cover her face with her hands in embarrassment.
“Well you got the accent and bust for it, Alicia.” Julie shrugged.

Tony crept through the hallways, searching every corner and room for the other group. He knew it was risky to go alone, but when he was searching with Josie, a horrible feeling crept in his heart and images had flashed in his brain. Images from his dreams the night before.
A woman with red hair.
A gun.
Blood.
A scream from a woman.
Paul, lying on the floor. Not moving. Blood dripping from his forehead. Eyes without life, not blinking.
Tony shook his head, trying to erase that image from his mind. He then looked up and saw a young man with bright red hair and wearing casual clothing. Tony then noticed the gun tucked in the back of the guy’s pants.
“A guard, wonderful…” Tony sighed, slowly creeping behind the younger man. Tony then reached out and tapped the guard on the shoulder, making him spin around.
“Who the hell are you?” The guy asked coldly.
“Perhaps you can help me; I’m trying to find some mates of mine that are in this building. We got separated and I’m trying to locate ‘em.” Tony asked lying, making his accent stand out.
“Why should I help you?” The guard asked crossly. Tony took a deep breath.
“Because I have something… that can really help that bruise on your face.” Tony answered, smirking slightly. The guard blinked.
“Wh-what bruise?”
*BAM!*
“That bruise.” Tony stated, lowering his balled-up fist, as the guard dropped to his knee, covering his bleeding nose. The guard made a reach for his gun, but Tony saw this and grabbed the arm, twisted it around and slammed the guy into the wall face first. He released him, letting the unconscious guard drop to the floor in a heap.
“Hm, still got it.” Tony smiled to himself, cracking his knuckles.
“Slattery?” Tony spun around in surprise on hearing his name.
“Detective Anderson?” Tony exclaimed. Lennie was nursing a bruised jaw as he ran up to Tony. Tony glanced around, noticing that the officer was alone. “Where’re Paul and the others?” he asked, worriedly.
“They went on ahead. I had to deal with one of Lolita’s men and-.” Lennie began.
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!”
Both men glanced down the hall they were heading in surprise, hearing a woman’s voice scream in anger.
“That wasn’t Alicia or the kid.” Tony stated.
“Must be Lolita or one of her men. Slattery, I think- What are you doing!?” Lennie began normally, and then shouted as he saw the man charging down the hall in determination towards the location of the voice. Lennie sighed, not hearing a response from Tony.
“Lord, don’t do this to me.” Lennie whispered, heavenward.

Tony ran down the hallway until he saw the duck tapped guard still lying on the floor. He figured it was the girls’ work and crept over, noticing the nearby door was open. He peered in silently to see a crazy scene unfolding in the room.
The room was a soft blue, like all the other rooms. There were several machines running loudly and various medical objects in the room, some scattered across the floor. In the middle of the room were two metal tables with silver colored metal covers attached to the edges. Lying on the tables, covered by the metal covers, were an unconscious Ryan and Colin.
“STOP THEM!!” The same voice Tony heard before screamed. Tony finally saw the owner of the voice, a woman with messy auburn hair and cold, piercing blue eyes, and wearing medical scrubs with a crazed look on her face.
Paul and Jeff were struggling with two men: a tall, well built African-American and a lanky brunet with a goatee. Alicia was fighting to break out of arm bar being applied by a Raven haired woman, also known as “Kylie the Waitress” by Julie, Melissa, and Sam, who got the name from the guy’s description of her. Julie was thrown against the wall by another brunet, this one minus any facial hair and bulkier that the other brunet.
“I’m gonna make you scream, you little bitch.” The brunet guard purred, holding Julie against the wall. Julie closed her eyes and yelled loudly, raising her right knee up quickly.
The Guard gained a look of pain on his face. He stumbled back, holding his groin in pain. Jeff and Paul winced, as does Alicia, Kylie, and the two other male guards.
“I’m not a bloke, but DAMN, girl!” Alicia winced. Tony couldn’t help but chuckle. That girl certainly had guts to pull a stunt like that.
“YOU WILL NOT INTERFERE! TIME TO END ALL THIS!” Lolita screamed in anger.
That was when Lolita pulled it out. Tony caught the glint of silver in her hand and paled.
A gun - a Colt.45 and in great condition.
And she was aiming it at Paul and Julie, the latter trying to get the former free from the two guards. Neither two knew the weapon was drawn. So he then did one of the stupidest things he had done, topping everything he did during his dark days in the mid 90’s.
He swung the door open, charged in, and leapt at Lolita, tackling her and stunning her. She still had the gun in her left hand, even with Tony pinning her arms down with his hands.
“TONY!” Julie screamed, not expecting him to be there.
“Tony, what the hell!?” Paul exclaimed in surprise. Tony turned slightly to Paul and Julie.
“Get outta here, NOW! Tell Det. Anderson they’re in here! GO!!” Tony commanded, adrenaline coursing through his veins. Paul stared at him as if he had told him to score some heroine and Julie had a fearful look on her face.
A voice screamed from near Tony. “LOOK OUT!!”
Tony recognized Jeff’s voice, but it came too late. The goateed guard then grabbed Tony from behind and dragged him off Lolita. Tony broke free from the guard’s grip after about a minute of struggling and slugged the guard hard across the face. He then spun around and gasped.
For when he turned to face Lolita, she had recovered, was standing and aiming her gun once more at Paul. Paul froze in place, a terrified look on his face. Julie tried to pull him away, but was grabbed from behind by Kylie, who tossed her across the floor. Julie’s head banged the back of the table Colin was on, stunning her for the moment.
“MOVE!” Jeff screamed, trying to cover the fear in his voice as the African American guard grabbed him from behind and put him in a huge bear hug. Alicia was then grabbed by Kylie and wrapped her in a bear hug as well.
“PAUL, LOOK OUT!!” Alicia cried, trying to break free. Paul refused to move; he was like a deer caught in the headlights of an approaching car.
A click. Lolita cocked her gun, a smirk on her face.
“NO!” Tony exclaimed, jumping in front of Paul.
The deafening sound of the gun going off filled the room, silencing everyone in the room.
Jeff gasped.
Alicia felt tears form in her eyes.
Julie’s brown eyes widen as she paled.
A small trail of blood hit Paul’s face, his eyes wide in horror.
Lolita ran over and kicked her target hard in the ribs, sending him backwards into the bare wall opposite to the giant machine. The person hit the wall with a dull thud before collapsing to the floor, face first.
That’s when Paul felt the warmness and wetness on his face. It wasn’t just the blood that now dripped down his face. A clear drop of salty water fell.
A tear. Then another, joined by several more.
“No…” Paul mouthed in a whisper, shaking his head.
“That’ll teach you to get involved in my plans.” Lolita spat, still holding her smoking pistol in her hands. She gave the body another kick in the ribs for added measures.
Paul breath came in fast intervals, more tears swarming in his eyes and escaping down his blood stained face. Then, the word, the name came to him, as he finally found his voice, which he seemed to have lost when the gun went off.
“TONY!!”

Repeat, repeat, I do NOT kill off good guys in my stories!!  Tony will NOT die, I promise!!!!

The next part will be coming soon, so stay calm.
