Affirmation

May 17, 2008 22:11

I am finally posting my (not quite completely finished) Whose Line story I have been working my ass off since late december 2006. This is one of my longer works with several chapters, which will be broken up into several parts for each chapter so I don't have uber-long posts.

Title: Affirmation
Author: Shinigami518
Rating: PG-13, but with some bits of R in it
Main Character(s) and/or pairings: Ryan/Colin (which'll happen near the end), Ryan/Pat, Colin/Deb, Tony/Paul (later chapters), Jeff/Greg (one-sided)
Summary: A crazy woman abducts Ryan, Colin, their wives, Greg, Drew, Wayne, Brad, and Chip. Pat and Deb are released with only minor injuries, but the guys are still missing. Three college students end up stumbling into this crazed plan by accident and have to help the guys find a way to escape, but there are several big problems they have to overcome.

Notes: I don’t own Whose Line or any of the guys and girls that participate in that show. There are only several characters that I do own and they are the ones you don’t know. SUNY Albany is a real college as is the tavern I mention, but the tech I mention, hopefully, doesn’t exist yet. This whole story was started and is set in Dec. 2006 and is based on two dreams I had one right after another. The original draft was finished in April of ’07 and has been modified to fix mistakes and to make it more believable. I also edited it and changed it around to fix little problems with the original draft. And now - for our feature presentation!

Prologue:
Mid November, 2006…
“Whose Line… Whose Line…. DAMN THAT WHOSE LINE!” A woman with long auburn hair and cold blue eyes ranted, pacing left and right in a kitchen somewhere in upstate New York. She sat on a kitchen chair, crossed her legs and frowned.
“Even after being canceled, the show is STILL popular with so many ignorant people. Why can’t they understand it ISN’T funny at all?!” She muttered loudly, resting her chin in the palms of her hands and elbows on the table. She closed her eyes for a moment.
“How can I get back at the show that ruined my life?” She asked out loud. She paused for a moment, allowing her mind to roam. She thought and thought and thought, the radio on her kitchen table playing an all too familiar Savage Garden song.
“I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned…” the radio sang.
The woman’s cold blue eyes shot open, a malicious grin forming on her face.
“That’s it!” She grinned, clasping her hands in front of her face. “It’s time for those men to deal with Karma…” She got up, walked into another room, sat down at her computer and began typing a message.

More to come shortly...
