A little later…
Julie stood with Melissa and Sam by the television, all three wearing serious expressions on their faces. Janet was sitting in her recliner, Sandi sitting in the wooden chair next to Janet. Robert sat in his easy chair, Paul, now back to normal, was sitting on the ottoman. Mike, Josie, and Tony shared the couch while Alicia leaned against a small table between the couch and the hallway leading upstairs, Jeff sat in the old rocking chair and Will sat on the floor, eying the laptop, which rested on a standing speaker.
“Alright, everything’s set - thanks Will.” Melissa said, staring at the connector cable connecting her laptop to the TV.
“Yo.” Will said, raising his hand casually. Melissa nodded, and then cleared her throat. Julie straightened her glasses and Sam adjusted the paw print covered bandana around her neck.
“So everyone’s met each other and knows about one another, so let’s get this show on the road.” Julie stated, rubbing her hands together.
“Why doesn’t Alicia tell us why she contacted these guys?” Janet suggested, gesturing at the Whose Line Alumni.
“Ah, that was because I figured it’d be a good idea to get some extra assistance in the plan Melissa’s thinking of. Since my aunt Maryanne worked at the building where the British version of Whose Line was produced, I kinda became a friend to these guys, so I knew where they lived. As for Jeff, it was Melissa’s idea to contact him via e-mail.” Alicia explained, leaning forward slightly.
“She showed us the photos Melissa took and told us a brief description of what was going on.” Paul stated.
“She ended up convincing us to come with her to the states, to give you guys a hand.” Sandi added.
“Well those photos are real and this is great that she brought you all here, but this whole ordeal may prove to be dangerous.” Sam told the performers.
“So what exactly is going on?” Alicia asked.
“And how, exactly, did you six get involved in this insanity?” Josie added.
“Well, to start off, it’s all Melissa’s fault.” Julie began, pointing at Melissa.
“Gee, thanks a lump, Julie.” Melissa said sarcastically, glaring at Julie. She then turned to her laptop and started the PowerPoint slideshow, which was then shown on the TV. The image of a map of Albany was showed on the television and laptop screen. “I’m sure you already know the basic details, so let’s get them straight. Ryan, Colin, their wives, Greg, Brad, Wayne, Chip and Drew were abducted from a bar in Albany. As of now, they have been missing for over a week now. Two days after the abduction, Pat Stiles and Debra Mochrie were found outside Albany Medical hospital, unconscious and bruised.” Melissa explained.
“Were they alright?” Josie asked. Melissa, Sam and Julie looked down, sadness of their faces.
“They were… until last night.” Janet answered in place of the young women. The visitors looked surprised and startled by the revelation.
“Wh-what happened to them?” Jeff asked, worried. Melissa turned her head away, fighting tears. Julie stared at the ceiling, also fighting tears.
“The abductor… found them and, well…” Sam didn’t dare to continue, but made a cutting gesture across the throat.
“Oh my god.” Mike whispered, getting it.
“They- They’re dead?” Jeff paled.
“Who would do such a thing?” Sandi asked.
“A demented freak, most likely.” Tony muttered, a bit angry over the revelation.
“Pretty much.” Melissa nodded, gathering herself. “Anyway, like Julie said, we’re all involved in this because of me.” She clicked her mouse to show the first image on the slideshow - a photo outside the University hall. “I was checking this building out - the University Hall - and found myself in the basement, singing to myself.” She clicked the mouse again, now showing a photo outside the cell where Drew, Ryan, and the others were being held. “And I discovered this door down a few halls. That window? It’s open, no glass in between it. Reason I know? Someone grabbed at me when I looked into the room. Scared the shit out of me.” Will snickered a bit. “Oh, shut up.” Melissa glared.
“Hey, you needed my help setting this up, so don’t insult me, k?” Will reminded her. Melissa groaned, knowing he was right.
“Well, the next day, Melissa dragged Sam and I back to that area to explore it.” Julie began, continuing on with the story.
“I didn’t ‘drag’ you two to-.” Melissa protested, but was cut off.
“Then what do you call literally pulling up by our arms and leading us forcefully to the University Hall? Involuntary motivation?” Sam asked angrily. Melissa didn’t answer. “Anyways, we went to the University Hall and Melissa retraced her path to the door you see on the screen. We were all nervous, although some of us didn’t want to admit it.” Sam continued, shooting a dirty look at Melissa.
“So Melissa and I tried to lighten the mood by, ah..,” Julie blushed before finishing the sentence, “By quoting bits from Whose Line.”
“Fan girls, wonderful…” Paul muttered with a groan, leaning back slightly.
“Yes we are, but we’re not like the crazy fans I’m sure you’ve encountered.” Julie stated crossly.
“That’s for sure. You three are more sedated compared to some girls I’ve seen.” Jeff agreed, pointing at the three women.
“Thank you.” Melissa smiled sweetly, doing a mock-curtsy since she wasn’t wearing a skirt. Julie groaned and Sam just rolled her eyes.
“Do you mind that we continue with telling them the situation or are you just going to flirt with Jeff all night?” Sam angrily questioned, getting impatient. Melissa stood up straight, frowning and shooting death daggers at the raven haired woman.
“So as I was going to quote something hysterical, someone on the other side of that door reached out through that window and grabbed my wrist, scaring the fuck out of me.” Julie went on. Janet gave her daughter a stern look for her language.
“It was until Melissa realized who it was that everything started to calm down. It was the same guy who had grabbed her the day before.” Sam explained as Melissa clicked onto the next slide, which showed a photo of Greg talking with Julie.
“Not the first meeting I wanted, but that’s how we discovered and meet them.” Julie blushed again, a bit embarrassed.
“Well that’s Gregory for you.” Josie nodded in agreement. Melissa clicked on, showing the next image - an interior view of the cell room.
“The guys’re being held here: a decent sized room, about as big as two trailers put together with the wide sides facing each other. It isn’t heated well, but at least it isn’t totally freezing. There are seven cots in the room, plus the table and seven chairs and a port-a-potty in one of the far right corners.” Melissa described, pointing out the parts of the image.
“Now onto our main problem.” Sam finished.
“Yeah, what’s going on with the guys? In those photos, Wayne, Drew, Brad, and Chip had some weird ass things on them.” Jeff asked.
“And who is this psychopath doing this to them?” Mike added.
“Yeah, you’ve been somewhat vague about this person, luv.” Alicia nodded. All three young women exchanged looks before going on. Melissa clicked on; showing a crude drawing Julie had done on the computer of what Lolita might’ve looked like from all the information she had gotten on her.
“This is the one behind this.” Julie said, pointing at her artwork.
“An Anime character?” Jeff blinked, staring at Julie’s picture, which was, indeed, done in the anime style of art. Julie turned the color of a well done lobster.
“It’s… an artist interpretation of what she looks like.” Julie explained, a bit more embarrassed than she was before.
“Wait - SHE? The one behind this is a woman?” Paul exclaimed, not believing what he was hearing.
“And what’s wrong with that, Paul?” Josie asked crossly, shooting a death glare at her friend.
“Nothing. Just surprised that a woman was behind this. I thought it’d be a man...” Paul replied hastily.
“Well this woman is crazy with a bunch of guys working with her. She’s going by the name of “Lolita Ren” and from what we’ve heard; she REALLY hates improv, specifically “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and the performers.” Sam went on.
“Well if she hates it so much, why’d she only go after the American performers?” Alicia asked, asking a question the rest of the visitors were wondering as well.
“What we’ve figured is she’s only seen the US version. That’s why you five have been safe for now.” Will explained, giving the girls a break.
“Besides, she’d freak the hell out if she saw how much crap you guys got away with in England.” Julie winked. Mike, Sandi, Paul, Josie and Tony nodded knowingly.
“As for Jeff, I guess that since he was only in a few of the American episodes, Lolita didn’t see a reason to go after him. That’s why he’s safe. As for the other US performers, like Kathy Greenwood for example, I guess she didn’t give a flying two fucks about them... which is exactly how I feel about Greenwood.” Melissa shrugged, the last part of her statement being muttered under her breath.
“C’mon, Kathy Greenwood wasn’t all that bad. Was she?” Sam protested, and then asked Julie.
“Eh, she was ok, but not as good as Josie or Sandi here.” Julie shrugged. Josie and Sandi smiled at that compliment.
“So, what exactly is she doing to them?” Mike asked, trying to get the women’s act together and back on track.
“And why’re you being so hush-hush about Ryan and Colin?” Jeff added, worried about his friends. Melissa, Sam, and the Sanders family exchanged worried glanced.
“What Lolita’s doing to Ryan and Colin is, ah, how you say…” Robert began.
“Very wrong and sick.” Will said, filling in the words.
“We’ll leave them for last since they are the most severe case… plus we don’t want to freak all of you out before we tell you what happened to the others.” Julie explained. Melissa then clicked on her mouse and showed the first image of the guys: Drew with the metal visor over his eyes.
“First on the list: Drew Carey.” Melissa stated.
“That visor over his eyes is what Drew and Lolita calls a Sight Deprivation Visor. It dampens the eyesight, so it makes everything you see blurry and hard to really see.” Will explained.
“Kinda like what us glasses wearing people experience when we don’t have our glasses on, but a bit worse.” Julie added, gesturing at herself and Sam. Mike nodded, knowing what that was like.
“That’s horrible! Drew had that Lasik surgery several years ago to fix his eyesight and now that woman’s messing it up for him!” Jeff cried out in disgust and shock.
“Damn right.” Julie nodded, agreeing with Jeff.
“Next up.” Sam began, as Melissa clicked on. The next photo was of Wayne, Brad, and Chip with their metal collars. “Wayne Brady, Brad Sherwood, and Chip Esten.” Sam continued.
“According to what Drew and Greg told us, those collars around their neck give them electric shocks to their vocal cords whenever they speak more than ten words a sentence. So they are limited with what they can say.” Robert explained.
“Sorta like a crueler version of Number of Words.” Melissa added.
“Well that’s uncalled for!” Sandi protested.
“It is, but it gets worst.” Janet nodded. Melissa clicked on, showing the next photo - one of Greg, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Greg’s got a v-chip in the back of his neck. Whenever he swears or says anything remotely vulgar, he gets a shock to his nerves.” Will explained, pointing to the back of his neck in emphasis.
“I’ve always figured his mouth would get himself in trouble, but that’s immoral!” Josie declared.
“He always did love to say whatever was on his mind, especially to Clive.” Mike nodded in agreement.
“So, what about Ryan and Colin? You’ve been telling us that what happened to them was bad, how bad is it really?” Tony asked. Julie looked down, digging her right heel into the carpet.
“Almost could be deadly if they can survive it.” Julie answered.
“What can it…,” Mike paused, “They don’t have any deadly tropical disease or something like cancer, do they?” Mike asked.
“Michael, how can you even think of something like that?!” Josie cried out.
“It’s none of that. No diseases, no Aids or HIV, no cancer, nothing like that.” Robert told them.
“But it’s pretty fucking sick and wrong, that’s for sure.” Will stated, grimacing.
“Stop avoiding the answer and just tell us what the hell’s going on!” Jeff snapped, getting annoyed.
“Ok, ok, keep your pants on.” Sam exclaimed, holding up her hands to call down the young man.
“Just try to keep your reactions down to a minimum. We don’t want the neighbors to get pissed and call the cops on us, ok?” Janet told the newcomers.
“Sure, just tell us what happened to them.” Paul agreed. Mike, Sandi, Jeff, Josie, Tony and Alicia nodded. Julie and Sam both take deep breaths as Melisa clicks onto the next photo - a more recent photo of Ryan and Colin taken yesterday.
“Lolita knocked ‘em up.” Julie stated bluntly.
“And she’s accelerating it so one month of development is compressed to one day.” Sam added.
“And it’s real, you guys. They’re going to have babies pretty damn soon.” Melissa finished.
There is stunned silence as what the three women had said sinks in.
“3… 2… 1.” Janet whispered, counting down while checking her watch.
“WHAT!?!?!?!?!?” Tony, Mike, Sandi, Josie, Jeff, Paul, and Alicia shouted at the same time. Augie, who was sleeping in the other room, woke up from his place on the floor and looked around in confusion.
“Good prediction, honey.” Robert said, grinning at his wife. Janet just smiled back at him.
“And this is why we don’t have any tenants in the apartment.” Will muttered under his breath, rubbing his ears.
“At least they’re taking it well.” Melissa grinned nervously. Sam just shot her a dirty look while Julie said nothing.
“No way, just no way!” Mike exclaimed, denying what he saw.
“B-b-but how?!” Sandi asked, confused and disturbed over the revelation.
“This can’t be happening…” Alicia whispered, eyes wide in shock.
“Listen,” Paul began, removing his glasses, “if this is some kinda sick joke your pulling-.” He leaned forward, growing angry with each word he said.
“No joke, Paul. It’s real. Plus, we’d NEVER joke about anything like this!” Will sternly told the older brunet.
“Oh my god…” Josie whispered, shaking her head. She then glanced over at Jeff, who was trembling, and looking an unhealthy shade of green. “Jeffrey? Are you alright?” Josie asked the young man.
“Urp.” Jeff’s hands flew over his mouth. “Where’s the bathroom?” Jeff exclaimed sickly.
“It’s in the kitchen to the left.” Will pointed at the kitchen. Jeff gave a quick nod, stood up and ran to the kitchen. The sounds of the bathroom door shutting, the toilet seat hitting the toilet, and Jeff gagging and coughing up whatever he had eaten before were then heard in order.
“Not the reaction we were expecting.” Sam whispered to Julie, a bit disturbed by Jeff’s reaction to the news.
“Well what did you expect, Sammie?” Julie whispered back to her friend.
“You were right…” Tony stated softly. Melissa, Sam, and the Sanders stared at Tony as did his friends. Tony was still sitting, his arms resting on his legs and hands clasped together, his head lowered.
“Tony?” Julie whispered, her eyes softening.
“You said what happened to them was bad. I- I didn’t expect this, but I knew it had to be something awful.” Tony looked up at the three women. “Those two really are what you say they are, right?” Tony asked, worriedly.
“Like Will told Paul, we’d never joke about a subject this serious.” Robert answered, leaning forward slightly. Paul, meanwhile, had put his glasses back on, still frowning.
“But how the hell did she knock ‘em up? I mean, they’re guys!” Sandi asked, still confused.
“All we know is that Lolita performed some surgery on them. Most likely to insert the, ah…,” Julie blushed before continuing, “the proper equipment to house the embryos.” She finished, gesturing at her lower abdominal area.
“She’s also accelerating the pregnancy as seen in the photos. According to the guys and from what Lolita’s told them, she’s doing this thanks to some sort of experimental machine that speeds it up with experimental drugs, nutrients and chemicals. To put it simple: it hurts like hell.” Melissa went on, noticing Julie’s discomfort.
“But we think Lolita doesn’t understand the dangers of doing this to both of them, not to mention what her experiments are doing to the others.” Will added.
“Dangers?” Mike repeated.
“The visor, the voice inhibitors, and the v-chips may cause permanent damage to Drew, Brad, Chip, Wayne, and Greg. As for the last two, factor in Ryan and Colin’s age and gender in this whole pregnancy ordeal and you can see the dangers there. They’re not young men like Will and Jeff. Plus they’re male and they’re not *ahem* ‘built’ to handle this thing.” Janet explained, clearing her throat in embarrassment in her last statement.
“Add in the back problems they have…” Sam added in.
“Plus advancing the pregnancy from 1 month of development to one day and the additional weight is taking its toll on their bodies and their health.” Melissa continued.
“Wh- what’re you saying?” Alicia asked, growing concern as did Josie, Tony, Sandi, Mike, Paul and Jeff.
“We’re no doctors, but we do know if we don’t get those two to a hospital, a doctor, or at least someone with knowledge of childbirth soon, there is a large level of uncertainty if they’ll survive childbirth.” Robert explained.
“And today, they started having false labor due to Lolita revealing to them about Pat and Deb’s deaths, which is making the situation worse.” Will added, remembering what he was told when Julie, Sam and his father returned earlier that day.
Josie paled, as did Sandi and Alicia. “You mean?” Josie whispered.
“Bingo. If we don’t do anything in the next few days, maybe even shorter than that, they might die.” Melissa finished sadly.
Josie gasped in shock while Sandi shook her head in shock, and Alicia only whispered “no” while covering her mouth with her hands. Mike just stared at the family and their two friends in disbelief. Paul looked over at Tony, who was sitting near him and was looking down in sadness, and gently touched his friend’s hand, which was clenching his pants leg.
BAM!
Everyone in the living room turned to the sound of the noise. Jeff stood by the archway, his right fist against the wall. He was trembling in anger and breathing hard.
“That… I won’t…. I won’t let her… We’ve gotta stop her!” Jeff snapped, his voice shaky and his body trembling in anger.
“Jeffrey, be reasonable! How in the world can we save them? We’re not the police nor are we superheroes!” Josie cried out, standing up and walking up to Jeff.
“Speaking of the cops, why hasn’t anyone alerted them about this?” Mike asked, calming down.
“We’ve all discussed this matter a million times.” Robert told Mike.
“And the same answer’s come up: Do you really think the Albany PD’s gonna believe us about this?” Sam added, pointing at the photo that was prominent on the TV screen.
“Even with the reasonable proof we’ve got, this would STILL be hard to believe.” Janet put in.
“And even if they DO believe us, think of how the media would react to this? I mean, you’ve seen how crazy they go with things like Brangelina, Britney and Paris Hilton. Think of how’d the news and the tabloid’ll act over this?” Will stated.
“They’d fucking orgasm over something this controversial.” Julie muttered loudly, frowning. Janet shot a warning look once more at her daughter.
“Which is why I asked Alicia for help and held this conference with all of you.” Melissa stated, shutting off the power point.
“What for?” Paul asked, crossing his arms and leaning back slightly.
“We’re gonna break the guys out and stop Lolita Ren before she ruins their lives anymore!” Melissa shouted with enthusiasm, her right arm shooting up into the air with her hand in a fist.
Everyone else, however, didn’t share Melissa’s similar reaction.
“You out of your fucking mind or something?” Paul asked, incredulously.
“You can’t be serious.” Josie exclaimed, managing to calm Jeff down.
“Are you crazy?! This isn’t a fan-fic, Lissy! This Lolita woman is crazy!” Sam yelled at the young blonde. Melissa just stared at her, annoyed and with her hands now on her hips.
“…What’s your point, Sam?” Melissa asked, raising an eyebrow.
“We could get hurt if we try to rescue them!” Sam snapped.
“Or worse, killed.” Julie added softly.
“That is why we’re going to be careful.” Melissa stated.
“In case you haven’t noticed, Lissa, we’re not the Fuzz or superheroes. We’re just a group of three college students, an appliance tech rep, a secretary for the county attorney, a computer tech rep, six comedian-actors, and me, a café waitress.” Alicia reminded Melissa, gesturing at everyone in the room.
“That’s why I’ve got a good idea how to do this!” Melissa exclaimed.
“You bleeding cracked, girl? What can we do?” Sandi asked, standing up with her hands on her hips.
“Just listen to me and trust me on this. I’ve got a full proof plan that won’t fail!” Melissa replied, staring at everyone in the room.
“Then tell us what’s going on in that messed up mind of yours.” Will frowned, crossing his arms. Melissa shot him an exasperated look before composing herself.
“Alright, so tomorrow, we’re gonna get up early. Like around 8-ish…” Melissa began, sitting on the floor in full storyteller mode.
Julie shot a worried glance around the room, glancing at everyone’s worried, confused and troubled expressions as Melissa began to explain her plan. She then looked at Sam, who also shared a similar worried expression. They trusted Melissa, of course. After all, they’ve been friends for years. But now they both knew something bad may happen in the future.
There will be trouble… and there might be blood and/or death involved…

That brings the end of Part 6.  Part 7, a bit shorter part, will be posted later.
