Andy is gone to Chapters Pinecrest in search of their new Kobo eReader. All Chapters and affiliated stores have sold out this week except for 2 left at Pinecrest and 2 in Barrhaven. I have a lovely pile of clothes on the bed, some of which will need a quick visit by the iron before they go in the suitcase. Yes, it's nearly midnight. And now they decide it's time to clear the snowbanks from our street. Not just plowing the street, which is also noisy but fairly quickly done. Apparently so, since we're resetting the store for the holidays. Lots of work. I put in close to 11 hours yesterday, I think. I know my manager said he was staying late. Considering the buses, he probably worked until around 4 this morning - a 15 hour day. Wonder how much was left for today's staff to do. Massive price changes are the worst part. ( Read more... )
