What to do in Ithaca - Suggestions?
Next weekend Jared and I are going on a long weekend trip to Ithaca together. I haven't been back for six years (!!), so I'm not up to date on activities in the area. Can you make suggestions for some fun things to do over a weekend, which don't require a car (we're taking a bus in and then staying at a B&B). -

A professor working on Chekhov asked me about the superstition about having "13 at dinner" -- in Three Sisters, Kulygin says that it means someone at the table is in love. But is there another, more negative meaning to the superstition (someone will die)?

What is rent in NYC nowadays?
So, what is rent in NYC nowadays? In Astoria, particularly? I want to get a one-bedroom. In 2002, that was possible for $900. Is it now?
And where are the (other?) cheap places to live in NYC?
