3 Arts Makeup Centre is in Chippendale, and used to also supply wigs.  Not sure if they still have wigs, and I haven't been there yet. They have Ben Nye special fx stuff, which I may need if my planned Selma Bouvier costume works out.

OK, today I shouldn't be let loose on the world - for everyone's benefit.  I left home with my keys, umbrella and a magazine to read on the bus.    Half way to the bus stop I realised something was wrong with this picture.

I had to go back home for my handbag - the essential contents of bus pass & wallet would be needed.

I've just spent ages looking through my browsing history trying to find a US millinery supplier that got mentioned by a friend or a friend's friend.  Couldn't find it, so that means it's probably a month or more ago, orrrr I've only looked at it at work. :sigh:  While the exchange rate is so good I want to buy me a biggish roll of millinery wire.  ( Read more... )

I've found the ideal shoes for a Bridget/Saffron costume (am a Firefly tragic).  However the only retailer I can find them at in the UK doesn't post outside the Old Dart.   gahhhhh

So does anyone use a mail forwarding service from the UK to the US/AU/NZ, preferably one that won't cost an arm or leg ???

The good news is I don't usually feel down for long, so fetching my new white shoes from the post office boosted my already improved morale.  yay for shoes.  And seeing as I needed a quick supermarket visit I got the bus to Bondi Junction.

In some respects I have a lot of tolerance and patience, but when it's gone baby, it's gone.    I used to be super incredibly patience, but that's gone in inverse proportion when I stopped being a meek & quiet little mouse. (It's true I tells yah!)
