After some consideration, Kate decided that LiveJournal was more of a crutch, and a barrier, than was best for her at this point. She's not likely to update - if she's even reading these Journals, I haven't seen her do so. For the most part, her computer remains switched off. She's been very active elsewhere, however. I've built a nesting barrel in the back garden for Shai that needs only to be dipped in gold to be more luxurious. I also had to clear out a corner of the living room to build an interior perch. Not a cage - a perch, complete with a sandpan at the base. The need for the perch was impressed upon me after a long and involved argument concerning ( Read more... ) -

I've left her alone for the most part, as this isn't the usual kind of funk I can tease her out of by picking a fight in which I'm snide and sarcastic, she throws things at me and calls me obscene names, and we eventually get it out of our systems and go to bed. Bloody hell! My Eric Cartman house slippers have holes in them, and for some reason, the Reparo charm isn't working as well as it used to. I think the soles are just too worn out. Kate knows how to sew and could probably put new soles in them, but she says I shouldn't be sliding across the floors in them anyway, so it's my own fault and she's ( Read more... ) -

I'm a grandfather.
Has anyone else noticed that Cass was born on Cinco de Mayo? Gabriel pointed this out to me earlier. That should be something interesting for her once she's old enough to consume alcohol.
