Started the new job today. My brain is all fuzzy. You know how it is when you start a new job, with all the new information. It's really funny how many people I know already who work there. It took me two hours, but I have a wonderful watercolor portrait of Olympia. It turned out AMAZINGLY well. I only made a couple of mistakes, but far more importantly, IT LOOKS LIKE HIM. Thanks to all the people who commented on the last post.  Yesterday my mom called me during school to tell me that Olympia's appointment was set for five o'clock -- meaning I wouldn't be able to go to the vet with them, but I would be able to say good-bye.

I have a white hair. Just the one. I was washing my hands today and
glanced in the mirror and I thought I saw one. So I picked at that part
of my hair for a bit, and sure enough: a long, silvery hair at the back of
my head, right in the top layer of my haircut. And I mean it's
