Thanks to all the people who commented on the last post.  Yesterday my mom called me during school to tell me that Olympia's appointment was set for five o'clock -- meaning I wouldn't be able to go to the vet with them, but I would be able to say good-bye.

I left school as soon as I could and went to my parents' house.  Mom met me in the driveway

Condolences on your loss, and I'm glad you had a chance to say your farewells and lay him to rest in such a stately fashion. It sounds as if he truly went in style.
