Talis is very sick. He has had uncontrollable diahrrhea since Thursday, hasn't eaten or drunk anything all weekend and is basically exhausted. We are at the vet and they are concerned. He is having bloodwork done and they have found a lump near his spleen that has them worried enough to take an x-ray. I have had a rotation of four blankets going ( Read more... )

Dog new: Anubis is settling into his 'adult personality' nicely. For those of you who aren't aware, great danes remain in their 'wheeiamapuppywheeeee' stage until they are about 3 years old, on average. I have to laugh at MK sometimes, though. So. We dealt with the Talis incident by ... not dealing with it. I kept saying we needed to decide what we were going to do, but then I'd burst into a fit of hysterical tears and nothing would get decided. Talis and Mystic had their yearly vaccinations yesterday. As per the usual, Talis has everyone there wrapped around his paw. He made out with FOUR of the huge-arsed dog treats they have there, AND he talked the tech into letting him have a drink out of the faucet in the exam room. Both of them are doing well health-wise.
