My good friend J is having twins-today! I received an email message this morning, saying that baby A is breach and because he is presenting first, she will have a C-section today to have her babies.

It's been snowing steadily for days. In the almost-week that we've been here, I think we've received at least three feet of snow. It is both inspiring and challenging. Somehow the snowy landscape makes me feel contemplative. And hungry, but whatever.

Poor Asher is having a hell of an evening! He's been screaming his lungs out since about 5 p.m. This breaks my heart and hurts my eardrums and makes me desperate. The "colic" scream has a special make-your-ears-bleed shrieking quality to it.
