Last week we gathered at grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate DiDi's birthday. Grandma marked Lucas's height on her Great Doorjamb of All Kids' Growth.

He is now 48.5 inches tall. In January of 2009 he was 46.5 inches. Wow. Two inches in seven months.

For the first time in a long time, I find myself stuck with nothing to do (except housework). I'm sure it's a momentary problem. I'm waiting on a small handful of colleagues and clients to do their things and send them to me, so I can then do my things.

Lucas and I have been taking a pottery class together on Tuesday nights for several weeks now. Tonight was our last class, but we've had so much fun doing this together I'm tempted to sign us up for another 5-week session.
