For the first time in a long time, I find myself stuck with nothing to do (except housework). I'm sure it's a momentary problem. I'm waiting on a small handful of colleagues and clients to do their things and send them to me, so I can then do my things.

Lucas is away at a birthday party this afternoon.

OK. So I admit I was scared. I am scared of a lot of things, so in those instances I do my best to jump in head-first; I am what you might call a studious thrill-seeker! The boys and I spent the better part of afternoon/evening (both before and after dinner) making shamrock-shaped, green sugar cookies. It was a scream, given Asher tried so hard to help just as much as Lucas did. Asher was covered in flour from head to toe. Tonight, for a brief - but glorious - five minutes of rowdy singing and raucous laughter, I was a GOD to a 6-year-old boy:

I joined Facebook. My inbox was full this morning, which was fun! But OMG this thing is sucking my brain!

This is just a quick post to let you know we've all arrived home safely. We got in to SF last night at 9:30 p.m., hungry and tired. After the baggage claim, a bus ride, and getting the car at the hotel where we left it, we finally stopped and ate at Denny's in Emeryville at 11:30 or so. We were home in Fair Oaks by 2:30 a.m., relieved to be done ( Read more... )
