Well DD went back to school this morning and in spite of the hissing rain went off with a fat grin and a bounce in her step. She cannot wait to see her BFF. ... Poor BB - being too little for things must be very frustrating - and then, just as you get big enough to do some things, you find that you are too big to be allowed to do other things that you like...

First day at school? Wow! Even though DD had been to Montessori and I was used to being without her for a large chunk of the day I still had maternal wibbles over the going to school transition. I sternly made Mr Wol take the day off as moral support. O(f course DD was fine! and i did not make a total spectacle of myself but once she went through that door I lost a huge amount of knowledge of what she does during her day: that old cliche 'What did you do at school today?' 'Nothin'' is not far from the truth.
