Well the new house is not yet inhabitable, and in fact due to a few factors beyond our control we seem to have slipped backwards rather than advanced at all this last fortnight. Got blown home today. There are gusts of wind like fists thumping round the streets. Some were strong enough to push the car sideways! I hate that feeling. It is stripping the trees of their lovely golden leaves on our street and swirling them round as telltales in mini tornadoes. Good day to not be in the park I think. House driving me inexorably and none too slowly round the frigging bend. Plumber B has fecked up bigtime and quoted us a price for fitting wood burners that is almost exactly 50% of the 'real' price so must now find a way to pull 2000 euro out of my butt as have passed the point of no return really for reinstating a plain fireplace. We have been married, Mr wol and I not LJ and I, for eleven years now. Huzza! Sadly by the time he got home on Friday I had a headache the size of Krakatoa from babysitting 4 kids in a small house. Well DD went back to school this morning and in spite of the hissing rain went off with a fat grin and a bounce in her step. She cannot wait to see her BFF. ... I just hope her BFF is kind to her today. I could do without the emotional fallout of a rift for another week at least. Busy is where.
We went to Dublin with DD so that
1 - DD could attend the Dublin Zoo Camp of which I cannot speak highly enough. It were great!
