Lovely sunny day so I hung washing on my nice new washing line. ... It froze. ... It was an odd sensation having to crack the towels off the line and force them, creaking, into the basket. It was surreal.

Got blown home today. There are gusts of wind like fists thumping round the streets. Some were strong enough to push the car sideways! I hate that feeling. It is stripping the trees of their lovely golden leaves on our street and swirling them round as telltales in mini tornadoes. Good day to not be in the park I think.
