more movement

Survived the day in spite of flying slates and sheeting bloody rain. Yuck! When ex-Hurricane Gordon passed through last week we were promised stroms like you would not believe. They only half materialized. Ex-Hurricane Helen(a?) was supposed to be all puffed out and she rattled Cork City much worse than her older brother did.

Mr Wol took a half day today but we didn't do anything very fun as I was sleepy like Carroll's dormouse and the weather sucked and he had to get to the bank to sort out creche payments for the new year. Creche are pissing me off at present. DD's lovely Montessori teacher has resigned leaving them with no fully qualified Montessori person in her class. This when their charges have shot up by €100 a month+ is a bit rich. Apparently they cannot get anyone willing to work a full day (and true full day Montessori in Cork is very, very, very rare - I don't know anywhere else that even offers it). Mainly though I feel awful because DD adored this teacher! Plus, rapid staff turnover is not a good sign. Not a lot to be done before the New Year anyway as my schedule demands full time care and this is the only option we have. After that though all bets are off! Grumps!

While we sat on the couch this afternoon rotting Mr Wol's brain with watching Murder She Wrote (that man really loves me!) he put his hand on my ever expanding bump and said 'hello!' to baba number 2. Now I hadn't heard much from baba-2 in terms of wrigglage for a day or three but this prompted him/her to go off into a series of squirms that Mr Wol was able to actually feel! So Mr Wol has felt baba-2 move for the first time. All together ... "Aaaah!" He is now cooking me dinner. (Did I mention that he must really love me!?)
