"Tora," Saga whisper's from his place inside the mirror.
Finally catching site of his long-time friend.
"What has he done to you?"
"It's not that bad," the man-tiger says, stepping closer.
"Besides, I was more worried about you."
"As you can see, I'm alright."
"But how was I to know that?" the tiger complains. "All I know is what that ass told me. Which wasn't much."
The two continue talking, catching each other up on what's been happening.
Tora looks at Shou in surprise.
"You've done all of this? For someone you only just met."
He shakes his shaggy head.
"Amazing."
Shou blushes, looking away from the man-beast's piercing gaze.
"It wasn't that much. Besides, I've had a lot of help," he whispers, glancing at the rest of the group.
"But you're the one that started it," Saga smiles.
"He's also the one that's gotten the rest of us to help," Reita adds, stepping over to join them.
Ruki, Nao and Hiroto join them.
Shou smiles shyly at the others.
"I was lucky to find Aoi and Kai. Really lucky."
"Not to put in a sour note," Nao starts. "But when do you expect the owner to return?"
Tora shakes his head.
"He just comes and goes. Whenever he likes."
"So he could show up anytime?" Hiroto squeaks, looking around nervously.
Nao throws an arm around the younger man.
Giving him a reassuring squeeze.
"Don't worry. There're enough of us to keep more than just an eye out for trouble. He won't take us by surprise."
Tora shakes his head.
"You don't understand. He just 'appears'. Out of nowhere. I never get any warning. Of any kind."
"So what do you suggest?" Reita asks, looking straight into the man-beast's eyes.
"I think we should just take Saga's body and get the hell out of here before he comes back."
Reita looks at Ruki.
"Can we do that? Just move his body without freeing him from the spell first?"
Ruki looks thoughtful for a moment.
"I'd have to see him first. Then I'll have a better idea of what kind of enchantment he's under."
"While he's doing that, why don't you two tell us more about when you were found by the owner," Nao adds.
At Tora's confused look, he continues, "Saga's been..evasive about what the guy wanted from you two. That might give us a clue as to how to break these spells."
Tora leads them to the room Saga's body's resting in.
Shou positions the mirror so that Saga can see himself.
Everyone waits, holding their breath.
But nothing happens.
"Well, we didn't really think it'd work anyway," Ruki says, shrugging.
The small magic-user moves closer to the bed.
Studying the prone figure closely.
As he does, Tora moves back.
Standing between Reita and Nao he begins speaking softly.
"Saga told you we thought this place was abandoned, right? It really looked like it, too. More-so than now. There were cobwebs in the corners. Spiders and all. So we were really surprised when this little troll of a man burst in one day. Scowling and yelling at us for trespassing."
"Troll?" Nao asks sounding more than a bit worried.
Tora shrugs.
"He's a nasty little man. Reminds me of those stories about the trolls that live under bridges."
Reita nods, understanding.
"What did he want in return?"
"He wanted me and Saga to be his sex slaves. Disgusting little creep."
"Did he ever give you a name?" Ruki asks from his place next to the bed.
"Yeah. Said it was Kyo."
Ruki just nods. "Thought so. He's a pervert. Likes to play all kinds of twisted games."
Giving Saga one last look, he returns to the others.
"We shouldn't move him. There're probably booby-traps set all over the place. It's typical of the guy."
"So what do we do now?" Hiroto asks, looking crest-fallen.
"We try different stuff," Ruki grins at the others.
"What kinds of stuff?" Reita wonders, catching the gleam in Ruki's eyes.
"Well, the guys a pervert. So the obvious would be a kiss. Or several. Tora'd be the logical first choice. If that doesn't work, then Shou gives it a go."
