Hi peoples, I miss you.

Here are some photos from my trip to Nicaragua in December.I studied Spanish for two weeks at Mariposa School/Ecohotel and then went and visited with the family my mom is living with on a small farm in northern Nicaragua.My mother is spending the next two years in a area that was destroyed by Hurricane Mitch.

School is closed because of snow....

My first snow day at age 27.

I think I will bake some bread, knit a little, catch up on my correspondence,  and do some homework.

Multnomah county has declared a state of emergency because of all the snow and bad road conditions.It may not seem like a lot of snow to people in other snowier parts of the country but it is a record for pdx.This city is not set up for snow.No plows are clearing my little street.I had a hard time getting home even with chains on saturday night.On ( Read more... )
