H1N1
Just found out that my roommate who I thought was having a fabulous summer break in the bay area was in fact in the hospital with swine flu.
really.
He is ok.
This is especially great because before my wedding/finals week I was spazzing out because he was really sick.I was worried for him because he had finals too but I also had a vision of myself being wheeled to the altar in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm.The ER diagnosed him with pneumonia as a complication of the flu and gave him antibiotics.I ran around sanitizing everything every five minutes.My other roomies and ross thought I was overreacting due to wedding/finals stress.
I have been vindicated.During his trip to CA he was hospitalized again and tested positive for H1N1.Its unclear when/where he contracted the virus.The doctors released him today saying he is no longer contagious.he is holed up in his room drinking gatorade and eating chicken soup.
He is doing as well as can be expected considering he is facing multiple days of uninsured ER care bills.
