Had a busy weekend. Friday was a fucking fiasco at work. I had all kinds of shit to buy, and my dad and Janae decided to leave at noon to drive out to Vegas for the weekend, leaving just Tami in the office. Managed to unlock all 58 songs playing guitar on hard in two nights. I didn't quite play them all, though. I got stuck on Green Grass and High Tides. I'd get 81% in, then get to a part that has you fretting red every beat and a half, with a quick yellow hammer-on. Picked up Rock Band on my way home last night, but didn't get in until close to midnight. Plugged it in, figuring to "play a few songs before I go to bed". I *think* I got five hours of sleep.

New Year's Eve was good. I had a gaming party with a bunch of the folks from XGR. Played a bunch of Rock Band, and there was some DS-playing going on behind me. Also Call of Duty 4 and some Wii game where you roll these balls around by tilting the platforms that they're on ( Read more... )

Mostly clear. Areas of blowing dust. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times. Lows 41 to 49. Winds north 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 45 mph...becoming 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 75 mph after midnight.

It's weird. The gusts totally did click on like right at midnight, shaking our house incredibly.
