Weekend
Went down to Terre Neuve on Saturday for a short war, with Cagar, Logan, and Aurora.
The shinai battles were great fun. I got a lot of positive comments about my performance in the shield wall. Maintaining the line, waiting for a shot, etc.
Marshalled steel. It was a short engagement, since so few people had their armor. (None of us from Esperance did.)
Ren got off to an interesting start. The other side wasn't guarding their archers, so I called both of them dead a few times. I left the field after an SCA fighter got a wrap shot around on my ass that dropped me to my knees. (He left immediately thereafter.) I had a nice red line that night, but it was mostly gone by last night. Some other mishaps followed, and the combat was called after that one scenario. A quick wrap-up, then we were on the way home. (My ass hurting, and Logan pissed off about the marshal telling him not to call hold when people are falling on each other.)
Spent the night at Cagar and Aoife's. Talked a lot. Played some WoW. We may have gotten Aurora hooked. We decided to try running a full party of Draenai Paladins.
