WHO: Selene deals_death, Yuu Kanda kandescence, and Kaiman crosslizard WHAT: Dragging the corpses out of the river and burning them for great justice. WHERE: In a van down by the river. WHEN: Day 154.
Selene's eyes seemed to get considerably lighter in hue, from sky to ice, brightening along with the ever-present and growing irritation on her face. For fuck's sake, this was disgusting. She could just as easily have hired someone to do it for her under normal circumstances, but at the moment she was running just a bit low on cash. Hiring two scientists and setting up a full laboratory down in her basement had not been a cheap undertaking, and she was left with exactly 3 ladies for the month, until Marion paid her for rent. She didn't like being low on cash. She wasn't accustomed to anything short of complete decadence

We have no issue with your characters choosing to do this. We only wanted to make you aware of the fact that we have every intention of bringing in a flock of sky-snakes to be a minor bother, but Jen (who runs them) just don't have the time to write the tag IC right now (she can only get about 5 mins online at a time while away for the weekend). We also intend to use it as the touchstone for a horde of them descending on Rivelata (in place of the Zombies) in the coming week.
A loud screech sounded along with a rustling in the trees. From the direction of the temple, a louder roar issued and then there was the flapping of many wings. They'd probably heard it before, but not so concentrated as this.
It was a pack of sky-snakes just over the treeline, making a beeline for the group down by the river. With their speed, surely it would only be a matter of seconds before they arrived.
Would they attack? Were they merely spies? Did the group consider them a threat at all?
With a few more corpses moved, Kanda had paused on the bank to catch his breath. He was strong, but he didn't have Kaiman's size or Selene's enhanced physical ability. What he had instead was his stubborn stoicism and his determination to master his reflexive disgust at the task, as though by doing so he would conquer some personal adversary

Selene's ears perked at the echoing screech. That was certainly unlike any beast she'd ever heard before, and it sounded unnaturally large. She threw down the body she'd been carrying just short of their growing pile, turning her attention across the river as Kanda spoke
