You know, seeing The Losers a second time around, I really like watching it. Yes, some parts still make me rage a little (where did the women go that they saved?! Coming up with an interesting post on the drakaina (drakainoi?) in Greek mytholgy, especially those surrounding the Python/Delphyne, Ekhinda, and the Nemean Lion. I doubt most people would be interested, but its just really interesting to see the connections between certain gods and myths, and it makes one wonder... what came before the creation ( ( Read more... ) -
the losers
Just got back from seeing The Losers at the cheap seats. Over all I think I really liked the movie. Other than the obvious "male bonding" and the "fast-paced action" (although these particular action scenes were not drawn out like say, From Paris with Love which I saw last night with J, which got pretty boring by the third or fourth action scene), ( Read more... ) -

book books lovely books ~
Currently online ordering some books, because god damnit I deserve it sometimes. At the top of the list is Silence Maestas' "Walking the Heartroad", as well as "Dark Moon Rising".. and its a toss up between "Cult of Aphrodite" and "Aphrodite's Priestess". The latter apparently contains more ritual and festival stuff, and the former has.. less? Hrm ( Read more... ) -

When do you all consider the "start" of Summer? The Solstice? The beginning of a particular month? Is it a secular or religious reason what you consider the start of Summer?
