this journal entry is dedicated to my favorite tree right now: a paperbark cherry tree, aka japanese paperbark tree.
this tree is located at my aunt and uncle's house in portland, oregon. it's amazing! the bark peels off like a ribbon reel and curls up in little curly queues.

i hate being sad. i mean, sometimes i don't mind. but today i have the blues in a major way. and i am going to Fiesta in San Antonio tonight, and I hope I'm not a party-pooper. Maybe getting out of town is just the antidote that I need.

About 1:15 am Monday night (err..tuesday morning), I flushed the comode, as I usually do after going to the bathroom.
