...I would read all the material on breastfeeding that my sister gave me, and then I would re-read it a million times. I would hire an IBCLC from the start and seek advice as soon as I had doubts. and she's off!
Sabrina took her first step last night, and today she actually walked three steps! Poor girl is sick again, not sure with what this time, but even running a fever she's still practicing her walking. Toddler room here she comes! -
daycare update
We found a home day care that we really liked. We spent an hour at her house talking with her and her husband, and they were both really nice and I liked her set up. She has a huge house with a big backyard, she's been running day care for 28 years, she only has 3 kids right now, Sabrina would make 4. She has a play room, plus rooms set up for ( Read more... ) -

hunting for new day care
So I've finally decided to switch Sabrina to a new day care. She came down with RSV this last week, and it was the last straw for me. Along with all the other problems with her current day care, she just gets sick so often. Sabrina has RSV. She's been sick all week with a bad cough, runny nose, and fever, and is just really congested. So of course she's been home with either Mike or I and we've burned through pretty much all of our leave. It started off with a horrible cough on Saturday, which was the only symptom up until Monday. nursing a toddler
Sabrina is just about to turn one year old and I've been getting questioned more often about when I plan to wean. Up until recently, I've said I would start the weaning process when she turned one. I realized something about myself today...when someone tells me I can't do something, it makes me want to do it even more. Sabrina's day care provider told me the other day that one of the requirements for Sabrina to move up to the toddler room is that she be weaned from breast milk at day care. 6 months of breastfeeding
I just have to say that I am extremely happy and proud that I am still breastfeeding Sabrina at 6 months old. I no longer have to supplement when she's at home with me, and she's even going 3 hours between breastfeeding. I still have to supplement with formula at daycare, but I've come to believe that is because I cannot pump that last bit of ( Read more... )
