I woke up about 12:30am on the 21st having to use the bathroom (surprise surprise) and had a contraction. I immediately noticed it was a different type of contraction than the braxton hicks I'd been having, but didn't immediately know if this was the real thing. spending money
I finally went maternity clothes shopping and I love my new clothes!!! Instead of just looking like I'm getting chunky now, I'm actually looking pregnant. Plus they are sooo comfortable. I'm still in that in-between stage, where I don't quite fit into the maternity pants, but my other pants are getting a little too tight, so the maternity pants ( Read more... ) -
the most wonderful sound
I had my 16 week prenatal visit today and I got to hear my baby's heartbeat! It was so awesome to hear it. I have to admit, I had this horrible fear that she wouldn't be able to find the heartbeat (side effects of the first ultrasound I ever had where they took 5 minutes searching for the baby that wasn't there), but she found it fairly easily. random pregnancy update
I haven't had time to come up with a decent post yesterday as my damn class has been keeping me fairly busy, so here are some of the things that have happened recently:
- I now only have about 2 pairs of pants that still fit me, as my favorite pair of jeans refused to button the other day

Pregnancy and school work just don't mix, I've discovered. I'm trying to focus on my mid-term exam, and it is just a pain in my ass. It should be fairly easy, considering that it is un-timed, non-proctored, open book. But I can't seem to get my thoughts straight enough to write out anything comprehensive. Ever since I started telling people at work that I'm pregnant, I've been asked almost on a daily basis how I'm feeling. I always say I'm feeling fine - because I am. This pregnancy has really been easy on me. The only symptoms I have now is that I'm outgrowing my clothes and my boobs are sore. Oh, and I get the occasional migraine, which is not ( Read more... ) -

baby movements
Last night I felt my baby move for the first time! I was laying on the couch playing with my computer when I started feeling some weird movement in my stomach. It felt like little tiny bubbles were popping in there - it was the craziest thing! food cravings
As I think I've mentioned before, the only food that I miss giving up while pregnant is sushi. Mike and I found this really good sushi restaurant several months ago and were eating there quite regularly. They have some awesome rolls there, and it was one of my favorite restaurants to eat at.
