After a crazy weekend of running around Spring Mill State Park, Dark Side's spring hafla, and packing up the cat and hedgehog to go to camp the DWL, I am now in MD. Yesterday's drive turned into the new record for Longest and Most Annoying Drive to Maryland Evar, with the special added bonus of seeming more like a boat trip than a car trip, thanks ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you had such a crummy drive. We certainly have 'soft' weather this week, don't we?

Yup, yup. Your driving to Maryland story reminds me of when I would drive too and from Philadelphia 4-5 times a year. Gas was no where near that expensive though. And when that drive goes bad, it goes bad!!! Ah rain and sitting in Ohio. I once lost 1 hour and 45 minutes in Ohio due to a Grateful Dead concert. And yes, this has soured me to the Grateful Dead ever since.

Sorry I missed your Hafla!! I had to be in Indy that night. Bother.

Well, I have plans to go to a sit-and-knit with rmartin_justme at a Panera Bread... somewhere... near Ellicott City/Columbia? (Honestly, I have no idea.) If I could find out more about when/where it will be, would you care to join us?

Well, I have missed out, I think - I didn't realize that there is A Thing for E's class that I agreed to go to, and that is the same night as...tonight.

Maybe later in the summer, not sure. I hear there is to be a naming/christening thing at which my presence is requested, but I don't know when, and I think it might be in Pennsylvania (where my sister-in-law's family lives.)
