I drove up to Portland last night to take a class with Rachel Brice. Every now and then, when she has a month where she's not traveling too much, she'll teach a short class series at Datura. I meant to put up a post mentioning this in advance, but I didn't get a chance. A week ago, dreadful_red flew to Eugene and I acquired her at the airport and brought her home to my house. The past week has been topsy turvy and wonderful in many ways, but I will be glad to have a chance to settle in and establish some kind of routine. When last I posted, we had just arrived in Eugene on Friday Feb. 4th and that was about it.

We made it! Am finally in Eugene. We're staying at a hotel tonight because there is no furniture in my house, but the movers are set to come tomorrow afternoon, probably between 2 and 3. Yayz! I'm planning to stay in my house tomorrow night, but my dad seems weirdly set on staying in the hotel again. I'm working on dissuading him of that-- ( Read more... )

Long day today-- 767 miles or thereabouts, from Cheyenne, WY, to Caldwell, ID (30 miles beyond Boise.) Good news is that this was the longest leg of the trip, and we're only 30 miles from the Oregon border. So we're in Mercury Retrograde for the last time this year, and it seems to be hitting cars and travel plans hard.
