Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
In short:
- 8 Elements Cultivation was amazing, inspiring, transporting, and blew the top of my head right off. Got word this morning that I passed the test, so I'm now certified for Phase 2. Woohoo!
- Came back to work to dive right back into grant proposal hell.
- Took sick day yesterday: random fever with aches and fatigue, but no other ( Read more... )

Back from bliss
I meant to put up a post mentioning this in advance, but I didn't get a chance. A week ago, dreadful_red flew to Eugene and I acquired her at the airport and brought her home to my house. The next morning, last Tuesday, we drove up to Portland bright and early (more or less) to start Rachel Brice's 8 Elements Intensive, Phase 1: Initiation

Weekendy weekendness (part 2) and Moar Dance Stuff
Sunday continued the busy-ness. I had a fantastic weekend at Midwest Tribal Mafia. haflagirl and my hot bellydance girlfriends Hipnotic definitely know how to throw a festival. And I love that this one is focused on the crazy amount of regional talent in the Midwest; after getting to be friends with many dancers through Tribal Revolution and other festivals, and admiring their skills at ( Read more... ) -

Got back from California late Friday night.
Got up late Saturday, went to the end of the farmers' market. The crack bacon dealer sweet-talked me into buying about 4 lbs of meat, and then asked me to coffee.
