This morning, I received 4 moderated submissions to the daniel-vala community from suspicious accounts: congmetu, itboufza, rwenelat & tionilhy

I reported them to LiveJournal as bot accounts & also banned them from the community for these reasons:

• The content they posted did not pertain to the community.
• The content of the entries were meaningless nonsense text in both Russian and English.

A new trend in spamming has many LiveJournal members seeing this comment to their old posts left by strange LJ accounts that have no entries:

So I get the standard email notification that someone new has Friended me on LJ, and I click the link to that user's account. Surprise, surprise, it's one of those fake accounts that advertises crap products: weight loss pills, precious metals trading. Lately, I've had to delete about half a dozen spam comments from various entries on my LJ & at other communities. They've all shared a commonality: a single embed & link to a YouTube video in Portuguese titled "Camarate: A confissao de Farinha Simoes" or in English titled "Dying call from prison.
