Not only did it not burn down the house, but by the time I got back here it was so tender that I couldn't get it out of the pot without scooping and some very creative balancing. I am making chicken! Or, well, I stuck some chicken breasts into a slow cooker with potatoes, onion, and carrots. It is the first time I have used this slow cooker, and i will be gone for the majority of the time it is slow cooking (as in, until 8 tonight). Success! YAY me! Pot roast turned out quite yummy. Apples were a little sweet for my taste, and the cut of beef wasn't the best, but it was quite good. Something I might do again when I have a better cut of meat and maybe some granny smith apples instead of whatever the ones we had were. But, YAY finding new recipes ( Read more... )
