Success! YAY me! Pot roast turned out quite yummy. Apples were a little sweet for my taste, and the cut of beef wasn't the best, but it was quite good. Something I might do again when I have a better cut of meat and maybe some granny smith apples instead of whatever the ones we had were. But, YAY finding new recipes!
Also made mashed potatoes. Only a few since we only had like three potatoes anyway, and since no one else is here for me too cook for. Now I'm debating whether or not to put the roast away in the fridge or leave it in the slow cooker until my parents get home. Pesky choices. Also have to wash dishes, which alas, is like a major downfall to the whole cooking experience. Pesky dishes.
