Previously on LHDP: Pepa and Silvia finally gave in to their attraction and made out in both a bathroom and a laboratory, but while Pepa is sure she's falling in love with Silvia, Silvia's straight girl persona has left her confused and scared. She goes to an unexpected confidante: Povedilla, a timid officer who proves suprisingly compassionate and supportive of Silvia. As Silvia expresses that she does love being with Pepa, she is still paralyzed with fear. Povedilla advises that she follow her heart.
EPISODE 4x18: SILVIA FREAKS OUT, PEPA EARNS HER TOASTER
Scene - The Crime Scene

Two cops have recently had a shoot-out with two burglars in a hanger. Silvia has been sent to handle the forensic casing of the scene, along with Pepa. They are unaware that the 'burglars' are actually their niece Sarah and her boyfriend Lucas, who are attempting to save Lucas's kidnapped sister from gangsters. It's another crime scene, and Silvia does her job brilliantly, but still leaves time to stare longingly into Pepa's eyes.
CLIPS STARTS
Silvia cases out the scene, and discovers a hair dangling from the areas that the burglars took cover.
SILVIA: Give me a plastic baggie, there's a hair here.
Pepa hands her the bag, and Silvia extracts the evidence. As she stands up, she discovers herself inches away from Pepa. Pepa leans in for a kiss, but Silvia pulls back, not allowing their lips to meet. She walks away from Pepa.
Hurt, and confused, Pepa is unwilling to let this go. She heads for Silvia, and stares at her, silently demanding an explanation.
SILVIA: This is just overwhelming, Pepa. I don't know, I feel like a fish out of water. I don't know if I can see myself with a woman.
PEPA: Okay, you need to calm down, Sylvia. I know it's not easy being out of the closet.
SILVIA:But I'm not talking about that, Pepa. I'm not talking about my dad or what he might say it's... it's it's that I can't imagine myself walking in a park holding hands with a woman. [Overwhelmed, Silvia begins to cry.] Or in the lobby of a hotel, asking for a honeymoon suite, or kissing her goodbye at a train station. I don't see it. I don't know how.
She turns away, but Pepa, tears in her eyes, keeps her from going.
PEPA: In the first place, you don't have to imagine yourself with a woman. You have to imagine yourself with me. And in the second place, if you don't know how to do it - then I'm here. To show you.
Pepa holds out her hand.
SILVIA: What?
PEPA: Give me your hand. But take off your glove, I don't stain!
Smile emerging, Silvia gives her her hand.
Pepa tangles their fingers and gently leads her into a walk around the hanger.
PEPA: Okay, one step. Then another. Then another. You see? It's not that hard. Just a walk.
She waves to an imaginary park patron.
PEPA: Good day, Miss! [to silvia] Say hi! Don't be rude!
PEPA:There, you see, how gorgeous is the lake right now?
Pepa untangles their hands and wraps her arm around Sylvia's shoulders.
PEPA: Are you cold?
SILVIA: No.
Tentatively, she wraps her arm around Pepa's waist, and grabs hold.
SILVIA: I'm fine.
LATER
Pepa and Silvia dart across the floor, pretending to try and catch the train.
PEPA: We're gonna miss it! We're gonna miss it!
They break to a stop, and Pepa exhales in exaggerated relief.
PEPA: Whew! Look! It's your train! Punctual as ever.
Now playing along, Silvia smiles.
SILVIA: Well then... goodbye!
PEPA: You're not going to give me a kiss, redhead?
SILVIA: Here? In front of all these people?
PEPA: They're all too busy getting on the train to care.
SILVIA:: What about that lady? She's glaring at us.
PEPA: That's called jealousy.
SILVIA:: What about those nuns?!
Pepa cracks an incredulous grin.
SILVIA: They'll be offended.
PEPA: No. I'll be offended. Because I'm not going to see you for two weeks. What? You're really not going to give me a kiss?
SILVIA: Two weeks?! That long?
Pepa smiles and brings her closer, carresing her face.
PEPA: Well, if you give me the right kind of kiss, I'll try to get away on the weekend to come see you.
Silvia takes the bargain.
PEPA: Mmmmm. You know what?
SILVIA: What?
PEPA: I'm just getting on this train with you.
Thrilled, Silvia gets another kiss.

Next Up: Episode 19: Silvia and Pepa apparently have so much sex offscreen that they neglect to show up on ONSCREEN. Meanwhile, the precinct gets a Commander to sort out the whole Kaiser mess, and it's a lady. Now that Carlotta is safe, Lucas' arrogance pushes the Kaiser's gang too far. So they try to kill him and Sara. When that doesn't work, they frame him instead.
