The landing of the Mars rover, Curiosity, has stirred up a lot of emotion and thought. Late night thoughts after the writing partner has left.
I had a weird idea tonight. What if I wrote a pseudo novel filled only with two people meeting? I've always loved introductory scenes that say a lot in nuances. It would at least get me writing something -- anything -- by myself. No pressure to make plots. I dunno. It might be worth trying. It might be super boring. Anything is possible, I guess. -

My Twitter has blown up about Daniel Tosh lately. I don't get it, myself. His entire act is based on cruelty to everyone. It's like getting mad that a child molester hit a puppy. I can't believe how difficult it is to donate and volunteer your time and energy. I've spent half the day looking for places to volunteer, both to make new friends and to add to my resume. I've never volunteered before for anything. I'm already looking at requirements of attending volunteering fairs over an hour's drive from here, and not until ( Read more... ) -

Tonight, in an effort to cook food before it starts to go bad, I spent my evening and night in the kitchen. I made... a lot. From scratch, I made apple sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole (with fresh beans), and I also made a chocolate (box, I admit) cake with pudding inside and nutella frosting. So. I'm playing this game, The Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island. So far I'm enjoying it because I love Monkey Island. Lots of similarities. Then I saw this. Do those clouds look familiar?

It took almost a year but she is now at the point where she allows him to sit with her. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how not to sit ON her, but.. small steps, right? They're so adorable. Awww...

Accomplishment

You know, it's hard to have regrets in life when you think about it. Who doesn't choose the best decision for them at every moment? When do we tell ourselves "hey, I'm going to do something I'll hate"? I like to think of it that way. Maybe I don't have a career yet, but I can say "pft, I had fun in my twenties ( Read more... ) -
