Tonight, in an effort to cook food before it starts to go bad, I spent my evening and night in the kitchen. I made... a lot. From scratch, I made apple sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole (with fresh beans), and I also made a chocolate (box, I admit) cake with pudding inside and nutella frosting. I haven't tried the cake yet but I'm sure it will be to die for. Also below are some random pictures from around here lately.

Ok, the rest was unremarkable, looks-wise. Mashed potatoes are pretty boring to look at. But here is more from this month:

This was one of those warm days. The trees are blossoming all down the street.
And of course, these two.
I watched Game of Thrones last night on the recliner. And Cassie jumped up into my lap and slept on me. It's so sweet when she does that. She is a very elusive little girl, when it comes to petting even. I always try to sit completely still so I don't disturb her when she does that. And that has taught me that I'll never be able to share a bed with someone else. I'm always worried about waking or upsetting someone. And my wrath would be unparalleled if someone's fidgeting woke me up. (And it would.)
