Tea Parties
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to my local Tea Party due to school. Hopefully I'll get to the July 4th one. A lot of the area's top Libertarians attended, so it's a shame I wasn't able to meet them.

Fusion Centers (and not the energy kind)
Fusion Centers are "state, local and regional intelligence centers, funded and staffed in part by the federal government, that represent the latest manifestation of a growing national surveillance apparatus." Basically, they're collaborations between agencies who want to determine where the next big threat is coming from.

Colbert on Beck
Watching Stephen Colbert poke fun at Glenn Beck is great, since they're both pretty awesome. (I just wish Colbert would come up with something a little more creative than "Beck is crazy.") Colbert's parody of Beck's doomsday scenario program was easily his funniest episode ever, made even more so by his use of Stephen Moore, a regular Beck guest. ( ( Read more... ) -

CPAC's Straw Poll
The Conservative Political Action Committee had their 2012 Presidential Preference straw poll the other day. The results? Romney with 20%, Jindal with 14%, and Ron Paul with 13% (tied with Sarah Palin, no less)!
