I enjoy eating cheese. It's one of the food products I like to explore the varieties of. I'm not sure where I get a taste for it. My mom doesn't like cheese at all and my dad was not especially fond of it.
When I was younger, my favorite was extra sharp cheddar. Later on, swiss. These days, gouda has earned most of my attention. Not sure what the progression of cheese tastes means.
Cheeses I like (in no particular order):
Gouda (aged and young)
Swiss (Emmental)
Jarlsburg
Provolone
Cheddar
Edam
Mozarella
Cheeses I don't like:
Brie (the aftertaste always turns me off everytime I try it)
Cheeses I'm neutral toward:
Havarti
Limburger (I've tried it at all stages of aging, the smell never bothered me)
Cheeses I want to try:
Stilton (I generally don't like the blue cheeses, but this one is supposed to be special)
I also like several of the goat and sheep milk cheeses (like feta), though I don't track which varieties I've had.
