Today is my due date but I don't think my little girl plans on making an appearance today ;) I made an appointment for an Ultrasound next Wednesday in the event that she doesn't come before then and I was told to drink the customary 32oz of water O_O I'm thinking there's no way and I don't see the point. Can someone please reassure me that zero dilation at 40 weeks does not equal a ridiculously late baby?  I'm finding it hard to believe.

I was due yesterday, but I'm still pregnant. I've really been trying to prepare myself this whole pregnancy for going late -- my mom was late with both of hers, his mom was 2 weeks late with him. So I was at my 38 weeks doctors appointment today and she said if I'm not dilated by Monday (my next appointment) that she would try "speeding things up a bit"... What does that mean exactly? I forgot to ask, and I assume it means swiping the membranes, could it mean anything else?
