So, I am 40w4d and at my prenatal appt today my naturopath and midwife mentioned induction by vaginal misoprostal insertion. They weren't too concerned by me going to 42wks but with my first baby I went 18 days "past due." They said they "would't let that happen" this time. I had a feeling I'd go past my due date when at my ~40 week appointment I was only 1cm. That was last Tuesday. Went to the hospital last night with sporadic contractions ranging in the every 3-9 min range. I called ahead and told them what was going on, but they said to come in. I wanted to thank each and every person who commented to me the other day. I am still pregnant (40w6d) and yesterday I had an NST and was sent to L&D for a high blood pressure read. Every single doctor, nurse and resident I saw said there is NO REASON for me to have a repeat c-section and a VBAC is what is BEST for me and the baby. They also said ( Read more... )

So, sadly, and to my utter disappointment, the 25th of Feb (my due date) has come and gone. And now i'm most likely having a March baby instead of a February baby- I really wanted a Feb baby... I need to ask, for 2nd (3rd, 4th, etc) time mama's. When did you go into labour with your first?! I'm feeling like there's no end in sight, I don't feel like I'm getting any closer to going into labour. I feel exactly how I did a month ago..
