Yesterday one of my dad's apartments in Silverlake caught on fire. Apparently the tenant accidentally left a lit cigarette somewhere in his room and *poof* the place went up in a freaking blaze. Good things are happening.

First we're finally seeing some actual movement in My Future Living Space. Due to work, procrastination, lack of funds, etc we hadn't really done much to the new house. Finally we've saved a good chunk of money that can hopefully go to a new roof. That's the first thing that desperately needs to be done.

My cousin came to the house this weekend and picked up a bit. He cleared out part of the back room, most of the bedroom, and emptied the closet. As I predicted, my cousin extended his stay in the house: first until the middle of April, and then until the end of April. To add insult to injury, he apparently is going to need surgery for some issue in his intestines. I can only assume that this means he'll be extending his stay (on a biweekly basis WTF?
