It's been a bad half-week. On Wednesday, my bike chain was skipping a bit on one of the gears. I figured the chain just needed lube. Didn't think much about it. I took a week off work a couple weeks ago to finish my costumes for the anime convention. It went relatively well. I had planned to make two costumes: Father Anderson from Hellsing and Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki. I got the Anderson costume done, complete with bayonets (two single ones and a grouped set of 4). I just got the Paprika soundtrack today. Amazon was good to me this time around. I'll definitely be ordering more stuff online... although I'll have to make sure I don't order too much. That's one thing about paying in person - you tend to be much more aware of how much is going out of your pocket (or account).

Literally. There's been some work on the roof done over the last couple days. I'm not sure what they did today but after the air conditioning turned off, a strange smell began to seep in (strongest in the hallway but definitely in our office as well). my computer had a mini-meltdown yesterday. The OS would freeze in the middle of booting. In the process of trying to revive it, I discovered that my mouse wasn't working... or so I thought. Last week on Tuesday, my grandma passed away. She went peacefully and my brother was with her at the time. She was 86. I'm grateful for all the time we had with her, although, naturally, I wish I had more time.
