I'm in Budapest and have finished my 2nd day of the CELTA course. Its very intensive - we actually taught our first lessons today! It was nervewracking enough having been teaching for over a year, I don't know how the people who have never taught before coped! I have my phone interview for the CELTA course tonight, yikes! Am a bit nervous especially as am exhausted after the first day of the new school year! Preparations were a bit frantic - I had submitted the last of my documents to the Korean embassy on Wednesday and so wasn't expecting my visa to be released until this Wednesday (they said 5 working days), but someone pulled strings on my behalf and my visa was released on Friday. I've changed my costume a bit for tonight, something tells me I don't want to be out in town made up like a zombie! I've gone more for vampire/goth look - long hooded cape, lacy dress, long black gloves, fishnets and boots (was going to wear heels, but its so blooming cold that I want to be able to wear a pair of socks over my tights!). I'm glad its Thursday already. Should have a quiet day tomorrow as nobody else will be in the office. Which means I can leave early and go round to Lisa and Mandy's to get zombiefied! When my super cheap Asda DVD player finally gave up the ghost a few months ago, I thought I would spend a bit of extra money on a new player in the hope that it would last longer. last night, it froze and now refuses to play (every time I put a DVD in, it says 'No disc'). I can't find the guarantee, receipt or the relevant bank statement. Ho hum. ( Read more... )
