I picked up a point and shoot (Lumix DMC-ZS3 which isn't as kewl as mach22's Lumix which has an F2.0 24mm but an F3.3 25mm ain't bad for a P&S) and I took a bunch of pictures of Oski this morning (using "Pet mode"... using modes is bizarre but it's how the camera thinks)... and instead of making a boring picture ( Read more... )

Last month my brother came and visited. We rode out to a beach near Santa Cruz on our motorcycles. The beach was freezing so we didn't stay long. We went to the Boardwalk and wandered around and then to The Box to listen to good music and say hi to audreystats.

Taking pictures of the cats playing turned into taking pictures of the cats playing with lasers turned into taking pictures of playing with lasers. These pictures are mostly random but I decided to post them anyways because they amuse me. I want to play with long exposure mixed with lights more. On Saturday we had a a birthday celebration for Brehn. There was bike riding, playing at the park, eating yummy Mexican food, watching Transformers 2 and froyo. It was a full and fun day.

Today is Brehn's birthday. He is 12 years old! In a way, it feels as if he has always been a part of my life, that the times we've been apart were mere seconds and in other ways, it feels as if it was just yesterday that I had sausage toes and was throwing up bile while he was trying to push his way out into the world.
