Contacting GLaDOS independent of the Network can be accomplished several different ways.  You can send her an email, though it doesn't matter which carrier you send it through; as long as it begins GLaDOS@_______.com/org/edu/whatever, it will automatically raise a red flag on her perpetual scans of the Networks and be recieved.

GLaDOS is now in possession of two communicators, after asking the automatic handheld communications device dispenser very politely for a second one.  Given her growing interaction with individuals face-to-face, she will be using one communicator openly as GLaDOS and another secretly as her 'human self'.
