 Anyone ever read any George Saunders?  Just finished The Braindead Megaphone, a series of essays.  Extremely clever, funny, timely, well-written.  Highly recommended.

 There was a change in plans and I'm going into surgery in about 5 minutes.  I have rides to and from, but no one to stay with me for the duration.  I'll admit, that makes me feel a litlte alone. 

 My dad is back in the hospital.  Also, it is his birthday tomorrow, so happy birthday to him.  Incidentally, I'm having one of my infamous penis procedures on Wednesday.  This is shaping up to be a fucking fantastic week, ya'll.
