The First Saturday Waffle ride was a huge success and has morphed into the First Saturday Beer and Waffle Ride.  The ride was a nice, flat 20 miles roundtrip, with nice breaks for waffles and beer.  The Flavourspot Waffle shack really is worth a visit.  Especially for the jam and vanilla-spiked whipped cream.  Yum!  After waffles we dropped down to ( Read more... )

So, I spend most of Saturday in the back yard working in the dirt. I put the dog's bed on the back patio so he could keep my company in a comfie manner. Oh dear god, it's Bring Your Spawn to Work Day. The rugrats are *everywhere* and some one has hopped them up on pixie sticks. The ones that are 3' feet of pure sugar.

I'm gonna go hide in the basement until they crash.

360 squats with 10lb weight bar
60 kipping pull ups
60 pushups
900 meter run

The cookie monkey seems to be easing his way off my back.

I thought I was in good shape. I *know* I'm in better shape than 95% of the US. But this is *kicking* my ass. Conclusion? You want to be hardcore - train crossfit.
