Bernie Blew It

Elizabeth Warren is the surrogate he was supposed to be. His supporters have become Clinton’s. How Sanders overplayed his hand.On Monday, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren campaigned together in Cincinnati. Their message was clear: Donald Trump is a “thin-skinned bully who is driven by greed and hate,” as Warren put it, and the Democratic Party ( Read more... )

Honest question here but..

Given that the DNC won't give him the time of day unless he promised access to his email list (which I guarantee most of his followers would HATE like srsly I am never signing another change.org petition again)

Given that the moderates and the neolibs in the DNC flat out refuse to hear about his policies

Given that everyone is ready to move to the general and CLINTON VERSUS THE DONALD NEWS AT 11

Given that superdelegates are still a thing

how exactly was Sanders supposed to leverage his platform? Ask nicely?

I have always been a proud Democrat but if it weren't for Florida's Closed Primaries, I'd be done with them after this.

No, we can't trust the DNC. We have to either make something new or join the Green Party.

But I guess everyone is giving them one more chance in July to prove they care about us at all.

Same. I'm in a closed primary state too, so I'd lose what little say I have if I left the Democratic Party. My state is heavily controlled by the Dems, so the Dem primary is where a lot of races are won. But I'm so sick of them and how they've been acting. Ugh.

Florida's the opposite. Everything's controlled by the Republicans so if you're not a Republican, you might not get a say in who gets elected to the office anyway. I've had that happen before.

Ya think? As I read this post, I thought, well, yes, I'm one of those Sanders supporter who would never in a million years support Trump and will almost certainly vote for Clinton in the general. (I live in one of the bluest of blue states; there is just about zero chance of Trump winning here; if this were a swing state then that almost would be gone and I would be in the tank for Clinton at this point ( ... )

I'm amazed I haven't seen more anti-semitism against Bernie than I have.

I guess erasure is its own form of violence.

Lmao! I don't know 1 Bernie supporter who supports Clinton. The few who are going tp vote for her are doing it because Trump is the other option. So yeah... And before you start calling them Bernie Bros they are ALL POC, mostly females who are far from priviledged.

She should thank her lucky stars Trump got the nomination. Had someone "competent" from the GOP won it, she would have little chance tbh. Her unfavorability rating is sky high.
