Beloved: A Silvia and Pepa Manifesto
So I've been wanting to do a manifesto for the Silvia/Pepa storyline on Los Hombres de Paco for ages and ages, and decided to do it for the Epic Proportions challenge at passion_perfect this year (last year I did Alex/Olivia although now I dislike most of those videos. Anyway). As an improvement of sorts on last year's effort, and to hopefully spread the Silvia/Pepa love further among my flist, I decided to do a kind of collection of examples of icons, picspams, recaps, clips etc, to make the fandom more ~accessible, followed by the videos and my production notes for them. The examples are by no means an exhaustive list, because I would have been here all day, but they are some of my favourites:)

Dedications
This video is dedicated to everyone who's watched my videos, and everyone at the pepa_silvia comm, who have made my journey through this fandom so wonderful, with special thanks to those who have been in this fandom from the beginning of the comm, as I have. However, the video is dedicated in particular to random_flores, whose amazing recaps enabled me to understand exactly what was going on (my rudimentary Spanish is not up to scratch!), to lysachan, whose picspams got me interested in the show in the first place, and to kalikeca, whose excellent updates keep everyone informed of the latest Silvia/Pepa-related posts and discussions in different places all around the internet.
Manifesto
Production notes
SONGS: I wanted all the songs to have a somewhat similar thread running through them - as in a similar atmosphere. Finding songs for the final two was particularly difficult as, although I had lots of ideas for suitable ones, they wouldn't fit in with the first two ones. Eventually I decided on using an instrumental song for the final one (I was originally going to use Beloved Wife by Natalie Merchant but it was too long and there was no way of cutting out parts without ruining the song, plus her voice, lovely as it is, didn't fit well with the other three songs).
EFFECTS: All the videos are relatively light on effects and fancy edits. All of them have the same contrast colour as a base, and then I added different tones on top to fit with the song and the emotion I was trying to portray - generally, though, the darker the colour, the sadder the emotion. I wanted to ensure for these that the editing was simple, only cutting the scenes on certain beats so that a rhythm was set, and hopefully all the emotion behind the clips came through, which was what I was aiming for.
