I was reading a recent article about Google maps' street view & they efforts they go to to protect privacy.  They have software to automatically blur faces & license plate numbers.  They have easy methods to report concerns - identifiable faces, not wanting to have your house on there, nudity, misinformation, etc ( Read more... )

1) In the ER waiting room Monday night, they had going on the only TV one of those "Disasters Caught On Tape" shows.  Horrific car accidents, people sky diving and hitting rock cliffs, getting mauled by animals, etc.  It really didn't seem like the most appropriate ER waiting room viewing ( Read more... )

So, apologies to Liz for hijacking her post with my ridiculously long comment.

So, Matthew has turned into a little bit of a klepto.  Nothing bad, he just has a bad habit of grabbing things and putting them in his pockets.  Usually stuff like dirt, rocks, or sand.  Sometimes small trinkets - toys, keys, balls.  And he's very bad about emptying his pockets.  Well, last week, I went to open the dryer and pull out the load of ( Read more... )

I'm happy today because the family is finally starting to feel better.  I'm feeling ok, except for a cough.  Still blowing my nose, but it's no longer chunky and green.  David is improving enough that he doesn't think he needs doctor (ie. he thinks it hasn't turned into a 2ndary infection).  Alex' ear is draining a little, but we talked to the ( Read more... )

Ok, silly happy.  I woke up too early this morning and was amusing myself online.  I watched youtube clips of old NES game walkthroughs - Zelda, Mario Bros, etc .  It was funny.  Flashbacks to being 10 and not ever getting to play the games, but having to watch my friends play them.  But that didn't matter, because even watching them was So Cool!  ( Read more... )
